A.C.T.S (Aston and Cote Thespian Society) was formed in 1991 after the proceeds from the pantomime Cinderella helped to raise the funds for some new bells for the church.
Since then there have been to date thirty-five memorable productions which have been well received by audiences of all ages. These include "Stepping Out", "Up 'n' Under", "Funny Money" (which toured to Burford Golf Club), "Dick Barton", "Comfort and Joy" and "Calendar Girls." There have been five open air productions in the garden of Cote Manor House, the most recent being "Treasure Island", and we have always been lucky to have good weather! Pantomimes and Murder Mysteries have also been well received by audiences.
Our members work hard and have a lot of laughs! We rehearse in Aston Village Hall on a Monday evening. A drama group isn't just about learning words and being on stage; the final production also depends on set design, costume, lighting, props, make-up, music, sound, publicity, a good prompter and so much more. A real talented team effort! If you'd like to join us or need to know more contact Val Crowson on 01993 850139.
