Changes to WODC Recycling & Green Waste Collections from October 2017

2/7/2016

The Cabinet of West Oxfordshire District Council has agreed changes to its waste collection contract which will take effect from October 2017.

From October 2017 recycling will be collected fortnightly (instead of weekly as now).  The recycling boxes will be replaced with a wheelie bin for mixed recyclable material, except for glass which must be separated out and put in one of the boxes already used.  Non-recyclable waste will continue to be collected fortnightly.  These two collections will alternate, so one week the recyclable waste will be collected, and the next week the non-recyclable waste will be collected.

From April 2017 residents who want to continue to participate in the garden waste collection service will be required to pay an annual fee of £30 per bin (this is currently free).

Food waste will continue to be collected weekly.

More information can be found on the West Oxfordshire District Council website.
